The Aussie Blu-Ray Cover Of Bob Odenkirk’s New Movie Has A Huge Typo & How TF Did This Happen?

Here’s some Monday news that’ll blow your goddamn mind: DVDs are still in circulation! Shock horror, I know, but some of us rather enjoy having the collectable on-hand because, as I’m always saying to anyone who will listen, DVDs and CDs will be like records one day and people will be frothing them. Just saying! Speaking of DVDs, the blu-ray cover of the new flick, Nobody, starring Better Call Saul bloke Bob Odenkirk, features a glaring error and it’s driving fans wild.

A Twitter page by the name of Another Film Nerd (@Anotherfilmnerd) pointed out that on the cover of the DVD, there’s a suspicious-looking critic quote that reads, “‘An absolute blast from start to finish’ – Critic Name, Publication.”

Folks can’t decide if this was just a hilarious gaffe to tie in with the bonkers theme of the movie or if it was a mistake.

The Twitter page even ran a poll to see if punters thought it was a gag (a.k.a. an intentional marketing joke) or a cock-up and 62.3%  voted cock-up.

Welp, by the looks of things, the 62.3% were right, because on the non blu-ray version of the Nobody DVD cover, there’s an actual critic and publication listed with the same damn quote.

Nobody is a 2021 action-thriller that “follows a man who helps a young woman on the bus being harassed by a gang of thugs, only to become the target of a vengeful drug lord.”

It copped positive reviews from critics (including the one who ended up going nameless on the blu-ray cover).

The film has grossed $61 million worldwide and I have no idea how many of those dollarydoos included the blu-ray with the hilarious error but look, it’s got us all talking about it so really, when you think about it, this was actually a clever marketing ploy after all. Hey, maybe it wasn’t a fuck-up and this was their master promo plan?

Also, the film is fucking great, so I implore you to check it out. Hell, I’d implore you to seek out the copy with the error. It may be worth something one day!
