The movie is based on Mattel’s beloved toy line that spawned a successful animated TV series (which ran from 1983-85) as well as a 1987 film.

He-Man is the focus of the film as he uses his macho man powers to save the magical land called Eternia.

Dolph Lundgren starred in the original movie as the title character, while Frank Langella played the villainous Skeletor.

The flick will be produced by Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch, as well as DeVon Franklin. Brothers Adam and Aaron Nee are directing the reboot.

Bb Centineo recently starred in another Sony Pictures reboot flick, the yet-to-be-released Charlie’s Angels and after working with the actor on the Elizabeth Banks production, they were keen to cast him in another role in a future film.

He is best known for his role in Netflix’s hit romantic comedies To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and he’s set to star in future rom-com, The Stand-In and the sequel to To All the Boys.
