Just in case your Monday wasn’t quite as whimsical as you’d hoped, some new shots from the set of Mary Poppins Returns will fix that right up.
A series of brand spankers snaps show Emily Blunt as the eponymous caretaker, along with a casual appearance from a be-tweeded Lin-Manuel Miranda. Take it in, folks:
It’s the first peek at her face in full Julie Andrews mode, following a sneaky side-face shot which was released last month.
If that ain’t enough, a looky-loo on site also managed to secure some video footage of director Rob Marshall’s interpretation of the chimney-sweeps. Honestly, who could forget the classic BMX posse from the 1964 original.
The flick, which also boasts Colin Firth, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury. Feel free to imagine that rag-tag bunch of absolute stars cavorting in decidedly British surrounds until the flick drops on Christmas… next year.
