The film will feature Efron and Seyfried voicing the roles of Fred Jones and Daphne Blake respectively.

They’ll join an already-star-studded line-up, including Tracy Morgan (as Captain Caveman), Will Forte (as Shaggy) and Gina Rodriguez (as Velma).

Most importantly, absolute legend Frank Welker will remain as Scooby’s voice because, well, no other person on this planet would be able to do Scooby justice.

Side bar: Welker was the original voice for Scooby throughout the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! series back in good ol’ 1969.

50 years on, and a coupla reboots later, Scooby will be brought back to life once more.

The film was initially set for a 2018 release but, hey, good things come to those who wait. This just seems like the time for reboots, doesn’t it?
