The Season 7 premiere of ‘Game of Thrones‘ is just over a week away, and hype levels are through the roof.
We’ve had two trailers, one teaser, a Stark reunion photoshoot and multiple theories dissected. We’ve had Beric Dondarrion‘s flaming sword. We’ve got hints that Arya‘s direwolf Nymeria is coming back. And now we have a foreign trailer offering slightly different footage than what we’ve previously seen and yes, folks, we’re going to get into it.
Fanbase-wise, we’re pretty much the equivalent of Ramsay‘s starving dogs, hoofing up crumbs to tide things over till we get to chomp into the real thing.
A Greek trailer for the new season popped up over the weekend, and hot damn are there some new shots to absolutely ~melt~ over.
Alright – that was short, but sweet. What this 25-second teaser seems to do is offer us reverse shots of previously seen footage.
But now, we can see what the front of him looks like! Huge.
And then there’s this image of Cersei Lannister, also walking from behind.
Now? HERE SHE IS, FROM THE FRONT. New year, same haircut.
But probably the most telling reverse shot in this promo is one of the Lannister army about to be incinerated by incoming dragons.
We’d already seen this shot of Daenerys‘ army incoming.
But now, we’ve got a glimpse at who they’re charging at.
It’s a… not looking good for those Lannister soldiers. Jet fuel can’t melt steel beams, but dragon fire will absolute eviscerate steel armour. And apologies if this seems like ~a stretch~, but I just cannot imagine ‘Game of Thrones’ would give us a Daenerys + Dragons v Lannisters battle without at least one epic shot of Lannister soldiers being burnt alive.
