New Anchorman 2 Clip Shows That No One Understands Australians

It was kind of a big deal.

The red burgundy carpet which smelled of rich mahogany and was as smooth as the beard of Zeus was unfurled in Sydney last night for the Australian premiere of the voraciously marketed Ron Burgundy docu-drama Anchorman 2, walked upon by the polyester-suit-clad members of the iconic Channel Four news team – Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and Champ Kind (David Koechner), as well as the film’s director, producer and co-writer Adam McKay, and people who we didn’t know were coming but desperately wish we did for proposal purposes, Kristen Wiig and Kirsten Dunst (why did no one tell us about this?).

To celebrate the maiden screening of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues Down Under Paramount Pictures have released a short clip from the film – “Don’t Speak Australian” – depicting the confused members of the erstwhile Channel Four News team witnessing an address given by Australian House Of Lies actor Josh Lawson, sporting a horrific blonde wig and his most inscrutable Australian accent as the ocker head honcho of Global Network News, Kench Allenby.

To be honest, we can’t understand him either.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will be released December 19th. Watch the trailer below…
