Netflix Jumps On Comedy About A Severed Dick From ‘Workaholics’ Boys

Dicks as a source of comedy is a fickle business.

Lean on the dick jokes too hard, and your only fans will be anyone not old enough to drive yet. Lean on them too soft, and you’ll miss a few gags along the way.

But if anyone can make an entire comedy series about accidentally chopping your own member off, it’s Ben Stiller and the ‘Workaholics‘ boys.

Netflix has won a extremely heated bidding war for the rights to Stiller’s comedy ‘The Eggplant Emoji‘, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which he’ll be producing with Nicky Weinstock and – yep – Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck.

While nothing is confirmed yet, it’ll be extremely surprising if that lot aren’t starring in it, too.

From THR:

“The plot is anything if not fully formed: When a teenager accidentally cuts off his penis during a camping trip, he and his friends rush to save the appendage before it’s too late. The intent is to make a comedy in the vein of Superbad, something that focused on friendship but throbbed with insane situations and R-rated language.”

Sound like anyone you know?

Netflix apparently outbid five other companies to land the project, making this possibly the most popular dick-chopping content since Pain Olympics. (Sorry.) (Let us never speak of the Pain Olympics ever again.)

Something to look forward to when the last ‘Workaholics’ season finishes this year.
