Netflix Greenlights Matt Groening’s New Show W/ Abbi Jacobson & Eric Andre

This one is for you, Futurama fans. By default, that means everyone, but hey.

Netflix has officially signed on for two seasons of Matt Groening’s new animated show Disenchantment, which already sounds like the most binge-watchable show of all bloody time.
Groening says the show will “be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”
The Simpsons’ genius will be joined by voice actors Abbi Jacobson of Broad City, Nat Faxon of Friends From College, and Eric Andre of, uh, general mayhem and destruction.
Jacobson has signed on to play princess Bean, who is accompanied by elfen compatriot Elfo (Faxon) and “personal demon” Luci (Andre) in a mad fantasy world. Somehow, we think being confined to an animated world will make Andre less unhinged.
Groening’s faves, including John DiMaggio and Billy West, are also attached. Plus Noel Fielding!
In even more excellent news for diehard fans, animation duties will be handled by Rough Draft Studios, the squad behind Futurama.

Expect this one to land in 2018, if Andre doesn’t break everything before then.
