Say what you will about one of Australia’s longest-running primetime stalwarts, Neighbours, but its iconic status—as entertainment ingrained marrow-deep in our cultural oeuvre—c a n n o t be denied. We all attended Scott and Charlene‘s wedding, and we all proudly claim Margot Robbie‘s blossoming career as one that started in the beating heart of Erinsborough.
It’s fitting, then, that Neighbours gives back to its fans in its 30th year – now via an Airbnb listing of Ramsay Street, offering a free overnight stay onset.
“Guests will be hosted by Erinsborough’s Dr Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) and handyman Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan), before walking down the famous street, reliving the drama at Harold’s Store, The Waterhole and Lassiter’s Lake,” the listing says.
“Then, they’ll share in a sumptuous dinner with Alan and Chris at the Willis family house where they will hear the juicy insider secrets and the behind-the-scenes news.”
A sumptuous dinner with new-gen members of Neighbours we haven’t actually heard of? SOLD. JK, duh – would unashamedly stay on Ramsay Street and sink beers with Toadie any day of the week.
