Motherfucking Dragon Ball Is Back With New 2015 Series

In next level Super Saiyan news this week: the studio responsible for the original Dragon Ball series, Toei Animation, has announced the coming of another.

.__.

In case you’ve stopped counting, it’s been 18 years since the last all-new television was released; we made a wish that it would be reincarnated as a good person and here we are. ‘Dragon Ball Super‘ – working title – will debut in Japan this year.

The company’s release said of the plot: “Reuniting the franchise’s iconic characters, Dragon Ball Super will follow the aftermath of Goku’s fierce battle with Majin Buu, as he attempts to maintain earth’s fragile peace.” And so, presumably, it will feature Uub and all the other series regulars.

Given the immense popularity of the series and the amount of fans still stoked on Goku & Co., it’s safe to say the brand has well and truly held up better than CHEEZ TV‘s opening credits:

The battle rages on some time in July, 2015.
