Your noughties teen dream is about to come true as The O.C.’s Mischa Barton is reportedly joining the cast of the upcoming The Hills reunion, Us Weekly confirms.

A sneaky insider told the publication that the 32-year-old’s appearance on The Hills: New Beginnings “is going to document her comeback. Hopefully people will see her in a new light and not just because of personal problems in the years past.”
The noughties queen took to Instagram to confirm the news with the following vid:

She captioned the vid: “The secret’s out… I’m joining the cast of The Hills. When MTV approached me with the chance to be a part of the reality show that was inspired by The OC, it felt like the perfect opportunity for an irresistibly inviting new chapter.”
The announcement of Barton’s casting comes just one month after multiple sources confirmed that Brody Jenner and his wife, Kaitlynn Carter, will also star in the reboot.
Other confirmed cast members are Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Partridge, Justin Bobby Brescia, Jason Wahler and Whitney Port.
Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Lo Bosworth have reportedly refused to return and while this will, of course, leave a major hole in the series, Marissa fucking Cooper is one fabulous consolation prize.
