In today’s instalment of Fabulously Wealthy People Getting Married In Secret, we have gilded couple Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel, who are rumoured to be tying the knot in a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home.
Gossip monsters Page Six spoke to a “source” close to the pair, who spilled on the alleged nuptials, saying:
“The wedding will be beautiful, super small and private, with only around 30 guests – just very close friends and family. Both Miranda and Evan wanted the ceremony to be very private.”
Poor, grubby people of the world, imagine how clean, how tasteful, how effortlessly chic this occasion will be, then feel the sting of the fact that YOU CAN’T COME BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT INVITED. Sucks to be you / us.
The Victoria’s Secret model, 34, and the billionaire Snapchat founder, 26, met at a dinner in New York in 2014, and announced their engagement last year, via this thing. Remember this thing?
Around the time of the engagement, Kerr told media that she and Spiegel are a good match, saying:
“Evan is real homebody like me. We have little dinner parties for our friends – he loves my cooking. Both of us are quite conservative even though we come from different worlds, but we have common values, a sense of loyalty, family and honesty. I tend to trust other people more easily. Evan is more guarded and reserved. It’s a good balance.”
Last year, the couple bought a sprawling seven-bedroom home in Brentwood, once owned by Harrison Ford, for a cool $12 million, so we assume this hypothetical wedding, if it’s happening, is happening there.
We wish the happy couple all the best on their big day, assuming it is their big day, but even if Page Six is wrong and it’s not their big day, we don’t wish them any specific ill.
