Miley Cyrus celebrated her 28th birthday this week in the best possible way – with a bunch of drag queens performing in Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana drag on a stage in her backyard. I’m obsessed, this is so excellent.
Queens from the Los Angeles House of Avalon including RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Gigi Goode tore through performances of Miley for Miley, going right from Hannah Montana-era Miley, through to 2020 Midnight Sky Miley.
Footage has surfaced online from Miley’s birthday party, which seemed to be a pretty low-key, relatively COVID-safe event in a backyard with a small group of friends and the House of Avalon queens, who all live together in a house in L.A.
Seated amongst friends like fashion designer Jeremy Scott and House of Avalon’s Hunter Crenshaw and Marko Munro, Miley watched and sang along as the queens performed a bunch of hits from her own career, in detailed costumes and wigs reminiscent of each era.
Now that’s some serious dedication and an incredible present from Scott, who was the one who thought to organise it.
A few of the performances have surfaced online so far, as well as a bunch of very fun photos, so here’s the best of the best for you to peruse at your leisure.
Here’s Symone belting out 7 Things.

What about Rosy Thorn as Miley Ray Stewart and Gigi Goode as Hannah Montana doing Best Of Both Worlds?
Or Gigi Goode back again as 2020 blonde mullet Miley belting out Midnight Sky in a purple cutout gown with a leg split up her impossibly-long pins?
Absolutely iconic, I love every moment of this.
The wider House Of Avalon eventually all got up on stage with Miley herself joining her gang of Cyruses, dancing and singing along to Party In The USA.

Keen eyes will notice there’s Rosy Thorn as Can’t Be Tamed-era Miley, Rubber Child as Bangerz-era Miley, and Grant Vanderbilt as She Is Coming-era Miley.
I cannot fault it, they’re just being Miley.
