What’s Mike Posner up to? Funny you should ask, actually, because this week, the singer found himself being airlifted to a hospital in Colorado after suffering a rattlesnake bite, and he’ll be unable to walk for several weeks while he recovers.

The ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza‘ artist is currently in the middle of a walk across North America – he left New Jersey in April and was expecting to reach the Pacific Ocean at some point in September, but progress was halted following his unfortunate run-in with the snake.

“Crazy day yesterday!” he wrote, alongside a video of himself in hospital. “I had just crushed 16 miles and was going for 8 more when I got bit by a baby rattlesnake! That venom is no joke! I got to the hospital and got the anti-venom in time.”

Mike Posner indicted that he would be hospitalised for a few days, and unable to walk for several weeks thanks to the effect of the venom. He later shared a video that showed the extent of his impairment, using a walker to get around.

“From 24 miles per day to using this walker to get to bathroom,” he said. “I’m on my way back. Gonna rebuild with patience and equanimity.”

So there you have it folks, another great reason to never leave the house, because if you do, you will literally end up in hospital with a rattlesnake bite.
