Sweetheart Michael Bublé Honoured With A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Michael Buble Honoured With Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Michael Bublé‘s legacy was immortalised on Friday (this morning for us) when he received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The multi-award winning singer-song writer has gifted us a string of beloved tunes over the past two decades including ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’, ‘Home’, and ‘Everything’. Not to mention his beloved album Christmas.

The 43-year-old’s latest album, Love, was released on the same day as the Hollywood Walk of Fame honour marking what is truly a memorable day for the star.

In his speech, the artist thanked his wife Luisana Lopilato for being his “hero and my rock”.

“My wife, there’s nothing I can really say that can express how I feel about her and what we’ve been through.”

In 2016, the couple’s then three-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer. During an emotional Carpool Karaoke segment with James Corden last month, Bublé revealed that though the now five-year-old Noah is doing great, the emotional fallout had left him “not okay”.

“I became the strength to somehow pull us and lift us and to be positive and when they got it out and the chemo was done and they said ‘We did it, it’s great, we’re good, he’s okay’ I fell. I just fell. My wife picks me up now,” Bublé said during the interview.

Per PEOPLE, during his speech at the ceremony Bublé said he was ready for the next chapter in his life.

The artist’s record producer David Foster and dear friend Priscilla Presley also spoke at the ceremony.

“My record being out today and having a star here on the Walk of Fame, I have personally and have never felt so self-important before.

“It’s funny you know, I want to get off this [written speech] because I struggled with this today. And I think everyone in this business probably struggles with not mixing up who you are with what you do and trying to separate your ego from your spirit because they are too very different things. On the flight over here, I sort of had an epiphany because out of all the wonderful celebrations and honours that could be bestowed on any entertainer, this may be the greatest opportunity to truly know that it’s not about you. It really isn’t, David said it in his speech but this isn’t false humility, it’s the truth.

“It is truly about all you beautiful people because I would never be standing here without everyone.”

Bublé’s new album is available on all the usual suspects including Google Play, Apple Music, and the iTunes Store. You can also listen to his album on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music HERE
