According to Twitch Films, Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre, The Kids Are Alright) has been offered the female lead in the Spike Lee remake of Park Chan-Wook psychological thriller, Oldboy. Serendipitously, the Korean auteur cast her in his English language debut Stoker earlier this year so we hope she received some tips on how to nail “that awkward moment when…” with Oldboy’s previously announced male lead Josh Brolin. Apparently the remake will be darker than the original which is something we’ll never believe when we see it.
