Melissa McCarthy plays a woman on the run in her upcoming comedy Tammy. Coming off the smash success of films like Bridesmaids, Identity Thief and The Heat, the rude, crude McCarthy is one of Hollywood’s biggest box office draws right now, and Tammy looks set to be another smash.
Side note: There’s only a 24-year age gap between Susan Sarandon and Melissa McCarthy, so it’s a bit weird, if not totally inconceivable that they’re playing grandmother and granddaughter, right?
