Meghan Markle’s Ex Trevor Engelson Is Engaged, Not That It’s A Contest

It’s not a competition or anything, and I’m sure that this is a mere coincidence and nothing more, but two weeks after Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in a lavish royal ceremony, her ex-husband Trevor Engelson has proposed to his girlfriend Tracy Karland.

Cosmopolitan reports that the couple got engaged on Friday June 1 and commemorated it in a private Instagram post, with a picture that show the couple smiling as her left hand rests on his shoulder, showing off a diamond ring.

The photo was captioned: “Luckiest guy I know! Get ready to party!” He has reportedly been dating Kurland, a dietitian, since November of last year.

41-year-old film producer Engelson began his relationship with Meghan Markle in 2004, and the two tied the knot in Jamaica in 2011, but separated some two years later.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the couple’s marriage broke down when she moved to Toronto to film Suits, and the pair found it impossible to maintain a long-distance relationship.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton reckons that Meghan “sent Trevor her diamond wedding and engagement rings back by registered mail,” which is a pretty cold move if it’s true.

She then rebounded with a literal prince, although I’m positive that my dude is totally fine with that, and is not feeling the need to compensate for anything or have a lavish wedding of his own.
