Prince Harry Will Not Be Signing A Prenup Before His Marriage To Meghan

In a startling rejection of the long-established “if you ain’t no punk, holla WE WANT PRENUP!” doctrine, Prince Harry has reportedly refused to enter into a prenuptial agreement with Meghan Markle ahead of their wedding later this year.

Prince Harry, who is fifth in line for the British throne and commands an estimated $42 million chunk of his family’s fortune, has apparently rejected advice to safeguard his assets should his marriage to the former TV star take a turn for the worse.

An anonymous source claiming to be a friend of Harry’s, aka the best kind of course, spoke to the UK’s Daily Mail to explain the situation, saying:

“There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a prenup. He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything.”

Harry’s decision to forego a prenup is in line with his brother William, who did not sign any such document before his marriage to Kate Middleton. At the time, royal sources bristled at claims that Will “refused” to sign one, saying that the idea never even entered his mind. An aide said:

“For him to refuse, it would have had to have been suggested to him by someone and it was not. There is no prenuptial agreement in place for this wedding.”

Prince Harry an Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot on Saturday May 19 at St George’s ChapelWindsor Castle.
