That Famously Shitty Cat Has Finally Been Adopted And We Wish The Owners Luck

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Sweet, cranky asshole cat Perdita has found a forever home. Oh, and she goes by the name of Noel now, thank you very much.

As reported by The Cut, the absolute bitch of a kitty actually found her new parents in what was apparently a very incident-free meeting, and they were super happy to take arguably the “world’s worst cat” into their home.

Please, just look at how precious this is. Perd–sorry, Noel, is going in for the full hand sniff! Also she’s SO much tinier than I had realised??

The Tennessee couple adore her, and the shelter reported that she “tolerates them”, which is the best you can expect from a total gremlin like Noel.

Her name was swiftly changed from Perdita, just in case it was the cause of her anger. Not too sure if one notably-irritable Noel Gallagher is the namesake here, but you never know.

Anyway, Noel’s settling in to her new home (kinda) and her new life is being documented on her Instagram, which I’m sure she loves (she totally doesn’t.)

Nothing brings joy to my soul quite like an asshole dog or cat. My dog for example, is a total shithead who understands English and therefore will not do anything you want her to do, because she can hear you saying “this will get her to go do a wee in the garden”.

Every now and again, a particularly heinous pet comes up for adoption – and the adoption company is just bloody honest about it. Like Mitchell County Animal Rescue in North Carolina, who put up this absolutely beautiful adoption notice for Perdita, a homeless cat.

My personal favourite sections:

“LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again.”

“She’s single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space.”

And the best part, which is that the animal shelter folks initially thought Perdita the cat was unwell and behaviour like a fuckface because of this. Except then the vet was just like “Turns out she’s just a jerk.”

CNN spoke to Mitchell County Animal Rescue Executive Director Amber Lowery who said they decided to showcase Perdita’s horrendous personality as a selling point.

“We thought if we highlighted [her personality] in a humorous way, the person with a personality to match hers can adopt.”

I mean, as I said, there are plenty of people out there who enjoy a psychopathic pet, like me! If you’re reading this Millie GET OFF THE GODDAMN COMPUTER, I’VE TOLD YOU SO MANY TIMES IT’S NOT FOR DOGS.
