Matt Groening and Seth MacFarlane Drew Each-Other

While we have our doubts about the upcoming Simsons-Family Guy crossover episode, which sees the Griffin family visit Springfield for reasons we still can’t entirely get our heads around, we’re highly in favour of this novel promotional tactic: having the show’s respective creators draw caricatures of one-another.
This week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly is devoted to the upcoming episode, and features interviews with Matt Groening and Seth MacFarlane, who created The Simpsons and Family Guy respectively. The two men were asked to draw each-other “in any way they saw fit”, and this is what they came up with:
MacFarlane rendered Groening as the smug, portly. cigar-chomping Mayor of Television, while Groening drew MacFarlane as a fairly handsome-looking dude, and still felt the need to add a “Sorry, Seth” under his signature. We’ll leave it up to you to consider what this says about each respective man.
The crossover, which is the first episode of Family Guy‘s 13th season (oh my god, we’re all so old), is set to air on September 28th in the U.S.
