Matt Damon To Direct Movie Co-Written By John Krasinski

Matt Damon is doing a Ben Affleck and becoming a director in addition to being a movie star, an Oscar-winning screenwriter and virtually ageless. His directorial debut is a movie he co-wrote with adorable John Krasinski, best known for his role as Jim Halpert in the US version of The Office. Matt Damon and John Krasinski will also both act in the film, which is, apparently, “in the vein of Erin Brockovich“.

According to the Hollywood Reporter Krasinski came up with the idea for the script and developed the idea with author and part-time illustrator of animals Dave Eggers.

Damon will play a salesman who “arrives in a small town only to have his life changed.”

I’m feeling a 95-96% likelihood that the movie trailer will include the phrase “til life got in the way”.
