Masterchef’s Hayden Quinn Named Cleo Bachelor of the Year

Things can only get worse for Hayden Quinn who officially reached dreamboat status last night after claiming this year’s Cleo Bachelor of the Year awards in Sydney. Honoured at The Star’s Marquee nightclub (the city’s premiere casino adjacent night spot!), the lifeguard and former Masterchef contestant took home ridiculous nation-wide bragging rights, a decent pickup line that’s good for at least another twelve months and a novelty cheque worth $10,000 just ahead of fellow reality contestants Johnny Ruffo (former X-Factor finalist) and model-slash-Celebrity Apprentice star Nathan Jolliffe.

According to Cleo Editor Gemma Crisp (and anyone who consulted our 2012 Shirtlessness Index) it wasn’t even close. “I’m sure no one is surprised that Hayden has taken out the Cleo Bachelor of the Year title for 2012,” she said. “Not only is he a nice, down-to-earth Aussie bloke, he also saves lives and cooks like a dream!”

“A guy with multiple talents definitely appeals to the Cleo reader, especially one who isn’t afraid to get involved with less ‘macho’ pursuits – Hayden is a big fan of yoga as well as classical music.” she said. “Of course, he’s also a keen surfer and loves the beach, so you can’t get more Aussie than that! I think the women of Australia have chosen well.”

Also, if you squint a bit he looks like a less ugly version of Ryan Kwanten. How is that even possible?
