Two ‘MasterChef’ All Stars Finally Fixed The Shitty New Opening Titles (Sort Of)

Let’s not split any hairs about this: the MasterChef: Back to Win opening titles suck crusty white dogshit. They’re piss awful. Really bad stuff. Generic, bland, boring. In shaking up the show to go along with their fancy new judging panel, they shook up the opening titles, taking away the only consistently good thing that has remained through all 11 previous seasons: Would-be cooks doing fucken weird shit in slow mo.

I’ve already had an at-length grizzle about the arrival of these new Year 12 Graduation Slideshow-ass titles, but fortunately enough I am not the only one who hates them thoroughly. As it turns out, the absence of Weird Kitchen Things has been noted by the cast as well.

Two members of the cast – Courtney and Harry to be exact – have taken it upon themselves to fix the titles by steering into the glorious TikTok meme.

On the official MasterChef TikTok account (which really does exist), Harry and Courtney returned the halcyon opening title days by frying up an unpeeled banana and levelling off an overfilled glass of red, just as the Good Food Lord themselves decreed.

THAT’S better. That’s what I want to see. I don’t want to see B-Roll of someone calmly walking a plate through the kitchen. I want to see someone split a melon with a meat tenderiser. I want to watch someone smile straight down the barrel of a camera while whipping salt about like wedding confetti. I want to see bonafide, fully fledged MasterChef all star laughing through a tower of flames while catching a whole ass fish with a sieve.

And until the show rectifies this, the room in the shoes it has to fill will remain abundant.
