Masterchef Adam Liaw Lands SBS TV Show

Top-knotted Masterchef Class of 2010 alum, Adam Liaw, has landed his first post-reality-television TV gig on SBS, a weekly food and travel series dubbed Destination Flavour.

Not to be confused with Flavor of Love, Destination Flavour will see Liaw and SBS compatriots Renee Lim and Lily Serna eat their way around the nation on a kind of food safari (Maeve O’Meara what?) sampling cutting (knife) edge produce from provincial paddocks to urban restaurants and top (pantry) shelf cuisine from suburban family eateries.

Destination Flavour sees Liaw join fellow MC graduate Poh Ling Yeow as a fellow contributor to Australia’s already high-caliber cooking show canon. You see guys, food dreams really do come true (for a telegenic few).

Of his involvement in the series, Liaw – who also penned a well-received cookbook and is planning on opening a Sydney-based izakaya – had this to say:

“I honestly couldn’t be more excited about getting into Destination Flavour. SBS has been making the best food television in Australia for some time now and it’s a real honour to be involved. I get to travel, discover a whole world of food this country has to offer, talk about it and eat it. What’s not to love?”

What’s not to love? This guy:
