Martin Scorsese For Chanel

On Tuesday we saw Frank Miller ‘s futuristic advert for Gucci. Today, in what we’ll call the increasingly frequent love-in between luxury fragrances and well regarded filmmakers, we have Martin Scorsese for Chanel’s men’s fragrance, Bleu. The sixty second spot stars French actor Gaspard Ulliel who you may now as the titular cannibal from Hannibal Rising. No people eating here though, just an aloof hotshot thespian reminiscing about past trysts during a press conference. Slickly shot of course with a subtle nod to Federico Fellini and a soundtrack which, considering it’s Scorsese, had to be The Stones. In this case “She Said Yeah” from “December’s Children (And Everybody’s)“.
