There’s a very special word in the English language that describes the unique relationship I have with comedian, actor and podcast host Jason Mantzoukas. That word is, of course, ‘husband’. We might not be married in the strict legal sense – or even in a de facto sense – but I believe our love transcends these barriers. He might not know I exist, sure, but isn’t being very delighted when someone turns up in a movie or a TV show basically the same thing as being married? As far as I’m aware, it is.

Mantzoukas might not be a household name, but to anyone that watches any of the actually funny sitcoms on TV, he will absolutely be a familiar face. Derek in The Good Place, Rafi in The League, Dennis Feinstein in Parks and RecreationAdrian Pimento in Brooklyn Nine-NineCreepy DJ #2 in Broad City – he is bloody everywhere. Everywhere including John Wick 3, we’ve now learned.

Mantzoukas was announced for the movie today alongside Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, and Anjelica Huston. He’ll be playing ‘Tick Tock Man‘, a series of words which at this point mean absolutely nothing to me, but the first two movies have kicked enough ass that I have faith that whatever nonsense character he’s playing will be cool as hell.

What a beautiful day for me and my husband.

Bonus content: if you’ve got an hour to listen to (or watch) a podcast at any point today, I would highly recommend making it episode of 200 of Comedy Bang Bang, featuring Mantzoukas and Andy Daly weaving an utterly absurd story from one very stupid starting point. Get amongst it.
