‘Married At First Sight’s Clare Creeps Into ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Farmer’s Inbox

While we’re currently experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms from Married At First Sight – screengrabbing any other show just feels empty and pointless – we could not be more happy that Clare Tamas, one half of Australia’s worst couple, is back in our lives again.

ICYMI, Lachlan McAleer, the other half of Australia’s worst couple, broke his fake marriage off after the show ended, and in an act of corporate #synergy so perfect it makes us cry, will be looking for love again on Nine’s Farmer Wants A Wife.
Unfortunately, for Lachie to secure a place on the show, another thirsty country bloke had to be dumped at the last minute – that would be 36-year-old NSW sheep farmer Scott Mitchell, who was cruelly axed in favour of the inevitable Lachie ratings bump.
As Scott came to terms with the fact that his search for a true human connection would no longer be televised, he received a series of messages from a not-entirely-unexpected source:

BOOM. That’s right, bitches, Clare’s back in the motherfuckin house.
Scott says that, in the wake of his dumping, he received quite a large number of messages from a mystery brunette, having no idea just who she was until his mates explained.
Instead of just straight-up hitting on him, it seems Clare was feeling him out, getting in touch to talk some shit about Lachie, and warn him about the dangers of fake reality TV relationships. He told news.com.au:
“She (Tamas) wrote me probably 20 messages, she sent me her phone number and she said if I wanted to chat I could, so we chatted for about two hours. I found it funny that Lachlan was the one that got on the show and his ex-wife is contacting me. I never even watched a second of the show so I didn’t even know this bloke was on there.”

Sadly, nothing more happened between Clare and Scott. Before you feel too bad for him, though, know that his inbox has been positively gushing with messages from admirers since his axing from Farmer Wants A Wife:
“When it first happened, it was unbelievable the amount of people that friended me. It was really hard to take, it gave me a snippet of how celebrities live their life and I’m not cut out for that. I’m still turning my phone off every night about 9.30pm because I just get too many messages.”

Married At First Sight will return for a second season, this time with a same-sex couple. We really, really hope Clare gets another crack at it, too.
