The legendary Mark Hamill has announced he’ll be voicing Chucky – the killer, demonic doll – in the Child’s Play remake. The Luke Skywalker actor, who has also voiced the Joker in the 1992 animated series, spin-off series, and video games, shared the news on Twitter.

From It producers, David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith, the remake will be a modern re-imagining of the 1988 horror hit about that bloody Buddi doll.
Per Deadline, the movie will introduce us to Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a state-of-the-art toy – an “Artificial Intelligence human companion”. Of course, this specific toy defines ‘playtime’ a little differently.
Brian Tyree Henry co-stars.
“If you’re wondering who’s going to play Chucky in the new Child’s Play, you’re looking at him,” Hamill says in a video for WonderCon 2019. “I can’t wait to bring such an iconic character to life and present him in a way that you’ve never seen him before.
“We’re gonna have some fun and remember, he’s more than just a toy… he’s your best friend.”
“People let me tell you ’bout my best friend…”🎶
