The ultimate sassy queen, Mariah Carey, is a full-mood in a viral video of her listening to Jennifer Lopez sing and visibly smiling through the pain.
In the now viral vid, Mariah is being interviewed by Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper as part of CNN’s coverage of New Year’s Eve in Times Square. But during the interview Mariah is evidently distracted by someone singing pretty out of tune in the background.
“What’s going on in the background? I’m hearing music,” Mariah said.
“Yeah, we got J. Lo behind us, actually,” Andy replied.
OOFT, Mariah’s non-reaction speaks volumes.

For those who don’t know, the queen of Christmas carols and that other woman who wore the Versace plunging-neckline-dress have some beef.
Basically, back in the early 2000s Mariah iconically told paparazzi she didn’t know who Jennifer Lopez was.
“I don’t know her,” she said.
AHHH ICONIC.
Years later in 2016, the very same Andy Cohen who conducted the CNN interview asked Mariah about J.Lo, in another meme-worthy interview.
“Apparently, I’m forgetful,” Mariah said
“Because I don’t remember that it was, like, ‘Hi, I’m so-and-so,’ and then move on.”
But then when asked what if she thought J.Lo was cool, she simply said:
“I don’t know her. What am I supposed to say?”
Say what you will about Mariah, but she’s a fucking savage and I love it.
Top Tip: if you want to piss someone you hate off, just pretend you have no clue who they are. It worked for Mariah Carey, at least.
