Australia‘s biggest vogue ball, Sissy Ball, is coming back once again for the 2019 Mardi Gras, bringing some of the fiercest looks and highest dips to Carriageworks in Redfern on Saturday, February 23.
Presented by Red Bull Music and Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, dancers from houses in the burgeoning Asia-Pacific vogue scene will once again walk hard to win the title of Sissy Ball champion and take home the grand prize. With performers from House of Slé, House of Luna, and House of Iman, 007’s (individual entrants), and more to be announced, Sissy Ball has fast become an event that you absolutely don’t want to miss over Mardi Gras.

The whole night is being curated once again but House of Slé mother, Bhenji Ra, who is joined by head judge Leiomy Maldonado (who walked last year and get a HELL of a performance), and will have DaShaun Wesley on MC duties.
Categories for the ball are yet to be announced but if you know how fierce the looks thrown can be, it’ll be a spectacle nonetheless.
