Maisie Williams Explains How Her Nan Deals With ‘Game Of Thrones’ On Kimmel

Settling down to watch ‘Game of Thrones’ with your parents is a terrifying task for us all at the best of times, when ( . )Y( . ) galore are an inherent part of the show’s fabric. Fun for you, sure, but a crippling blow for any on-couch banter.

Maisie Williams, AKA the ruthless and cunning Arya Stark on GOT, is well acquainted with that kind of situation, except with the added amplification of being a central character in the show, and also having her whole extended family attending each show’s airing on TV.

“I still don’t think I’m old enough to watch the show,” Williams says (she’s 17, for those playing at home) and adds that, “I don’t think you’re ever old enough to watch it.” Using gin as her weapon to distract her grandma from wayward and ~inappropriate~ flesh on screen, Jimmy Kimmel concludes that, “So you get grandma drunk.”

Bless.

Game of Thrones season 5 is coming in but a few weeks. Maisie Williams also goes on in this interview to explain her sword-fighting tactics, while throwing in a humblebrag over her learning to wield her blade left-handed. Slay.
