MAFS’ Bryce Once Starred In Home & Away Plus A Show Called Stupid, Stupid Man, Which Makes Sense

Contributor: PEDESTRIAN.TV

It’s a tale as old as time itself: a reality star joins a show like MAFS or The Bachelor, supposedly looking for love, then shortly after, photos emerge of them starring in minor roles on soap operas, game shows, and other reality shows. Welp, exactly that has happened to controversial Married At First Sight 2021 contestant, Bryce Ruthven, as it’s just been discovered that he starred in not one, but two popular Aussie shows, Home & Away and All Saints.

According to a 2010 interview with The Morning Bulletin, Bryce Ruthven had a three month guest role on Summer Bay as Aden Jefferies’ (played by actor Todd Lasance) cousin.

Speaking to the publication at the time, the then 20-year-old said: “Soccer is my main priority at the moment, but if it doesn’t work out I will definitely keep pursuing acting. I actually haven’t told my agent I’ve moved yet.”

The article adds that Bryce trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, meaning he’s legit been gunning for stardom since day dot.

He also once played a patient on Australia’s version of Grey’s Anatomy, the beloved All Saints.

According to his LinkedIn, as discovered by The Wash, at one point he played a guest role in a Foxtel show called Stupid, Stupid Man, which sounds about right.

I’ve done a deep-dive to find piccies of Bryce Ruthven in any of the aforementioned shows (or the Nokia commercial he allegedly he starred in) but despite my best efforts, I’ve been unable to find any shots of the bloke, which means his roles must’ve been pretty damn minor.

But to refresh your mem, it was this era of Home & Away, where Lincoln Lewis played Geoff and Todd Lasance played Aden.

But it appears that his acting career didn’t really take off from there, so he got into radio, and subsequently went down the route that all failed actors go: reality TV.

ICYMI: Earlier today, Bryce Ruthven and his MAFS missus Melissa Rawson touched down in Sydney for the MAFS reunion, where they were accosted by goss site The Wash.

The publication probed him with a bunch of pertinent questions, from his poor treatment of Melissa to what their future plans are.
