MAFS’ Bryce & Melissa Posted A Gender Reveal Vid On IG & I Don’t Know If I Love It Or Hate It?

MAFS

Sorry to be inflicting Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson content on you (especially on a Friday), but the MAFS couple just posted a gender reveal video on Instagram – because of course they have.

The highly-controversial MAFS couple, like any reality TV contestant, have been milking their five-minutes of fame for a while now. From a front page New Idea spread announcing they’re having twins, to now a public gender reveal. Yay for us.

You can peep the masterpiece below and hats off to whoever edited it, as they did a stellar job:

It’s equal parts cringe and cute. I mean I want to hate it because of MAFS, but if they’re happy that’s all that really matters.

The pair announced they were expecting their little babies in a New Idea cover shoot in July.

“It’s all happened very fast,” Bryce Ruthven told the publication.

“It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re so incredibly happy,” Melissa added.

In fact, Melissa actually found out she was pregnant while the show was airing.

It’s great that the pair have found love in one another and having children is always a joyous occasion, but I’m a staunch believer that the gender reveal social media video needs to go.

Even the mother who invented the gender reveal says she regrets it because “assigning focus on gender at birth leaves out so much of their potential and talents that have nothing to do with what’s between their legs.” Say it louder, for the Bryce’s and Melissa’s in the back.

“Gender reveal parties are cancelled,” Jenna Karvunidis told TODAY Parents.

“I cringe when I see them now. The insane levels people are taking them just to celebrate one of the most mundane facts about their child is just bizarre.”

If the literal creator of the gender reveal reckons it’s cringe, then it’s game over folks. Pack that blue and pink confetti away.
