MAFS’ Brett Was Asked If Bryce Really Is A Dickhead IRL & The Bloke Did Not Hold Back

MAFS Brett

Married At First Sight moustache man Brett Helling has basically confirmed what we all know: Bryce Ruthven sucks.

I’ve been very in-and-out of MAFS this season (sorry) because my brain can only take so much and I need to save myself for whatever cursed hell Bachie brings this year. But from what I’ve caught on TV and online, Bryce is a pelican

I don’t need to watch the show to know that, I just have to read our recaps by Sam George-Allen.

After splitting up from Booka Nile during last night’s tense dinner party, Brett hopped on Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny to speak about his stint on the show.

He was quizzed about ol’ mate Bryce and whether or not his shitty behaviour was just for the cameras.

Host Chrissie Swan said she found this season of MAFS really difficult to watch because of Bryce’s behaviour and how he treats Melissa Rawson, re: belittling her and picking at her self-esteem all the time.

Was it editing? Brett doesn’t think so.

“I guess the best way to put it is you never see a bank robber caught on security camera footage and say, ‘Hey that’s a bad edit, I didn’t actually steal that money.’ He said all those things, he did that stuff,” Brett said.

Didn’t mince his words, did he?

When Chrissie asked if Bryce is “that” person, Brett answered: “Sort of, his issues lie in the way he handles conflict, not even conflict – just the difficult conversations. Rather than being calm and just talking to someone, he just blows up and drags everyone into it.”

Watching the episode back last night, Brett also said that he should’ve apologised to Booka for that letter from the Feedback Week challenge.

According to Sam’s recap, Patrick Hayes Dwyer had written Booka and Brett a letter about their relationship. It was mostly about Booka though, based on what Brett had told Patrick about their relationship. And, uh, it was not a good letter.

It pretty much claimed that Booka was full of herself.

If Sam’s recap is anything to go by, Brett sounds like he royally fucked that one up.

So, why didn’t he apologise when he had the chance?

“The words weren’t mine,” he said. “I found it hard to apologise for something I didn’t do, but looking back that’s all she wanted from me was an apology.”

Brett. Mate.

Married At First Sight continues Sunday on Channel 9.
