ICONIC: We’re Reportedly Set To Cop A MAFS All-Stars Spin-Off In The Next Few Weeks

Married At First Sight, arguably the most cringey and chaotic of the reality dating shows, is copping an all-stars spin-off series that I can only imagine will be 100x more dramatic than usual.

According to The Wash, Channel Nine has reportedly commissioned the show, which is expected to hit our screens just before the new season starts in late January.

Now, I’m not great at maths, but I think that means we’ll likely be copping a MAFS All Stars spin-off within the next few weeks. HUGE.

Unfortunately, the spin-off isn’t the show I imagined – watching the most chaotic people from previous seasons be paired up for round 2. But it still sounds pretty interesting.

Basically, we’re set to cop a two-part special that will bring back the former couples to air their dirty laundry in the trashy Aussie dating show version of those iconic Real Housewives reunion specials, presumably sans-Andy Cohen.

If The Wash’s sources are to be believed, the show will feature a big dinner party with the best of the best from previous seasons. We’re only getting two episodes, but it sounds like they’re going to be jam-packed with ~drama~.

But to remind us all that MAFS occasionally produces a happy ending, they’re also bringing back the couples that have actually survived the test of time (so far). I’m not going to do the maths on what the success rate is here, but it’s definitely low.

The cast list is yet to be confirmed, but The Wash is already asserting that the following people will be in attendance at the chaotic dinner party.

  • Jules Robinson & Cameron Merchant (S6)
  • Erin Bateman & Bryce Mohr (S2)
  • Martha Kalifatidis & Michael Brunelli (S6)
  • Dean Wells (S5)
  • Tracey Jewel (S5)
  • Jessika Power (S6)
  • Ines Basic (S6)
  • Mike Gunner (S6)
  • Cyrell Paule (S6)
  • Patrick Miller (S5)
  • Charlene Perera (S5)
  • Cheryl Maitland (S4)

The show is reportedly set to be filmed within the next few days, so keep an eye out for some sneaky paparazzi photos.

Channel Nine is yet to officially confirm the series.
