Madame Tussauds Is Passing *This* Off As Beyoncé And It’s Going As Expected

All wax sculptures are abhorrent creations that must be rejected by anyone of a pure and good heart, but it turns out some can be worse than others. Much worse.

Anthropomorphic candle-makers Madame Tussauds recently revealed the Beyoncé sculpture at their NYC coven, and they got the basics down pat: yes, Bey is a human with, uh, hair.

The rest? We’re not saying we could do better, but the end result is clearly the middle image on some unpublished Animorphs cover. Have a gander, and remind yourself that this was their inspiration.

Our friend @CCFan007 was quickly reprimanded in the menchies for that unconscionable use of “FIERCE!”.

Madame Tussaud’s has issued a statement after that online drama, effectively saying it’s the photographer’s fault the sculpture’s complexion looks so different from Beyoncé’s skin tone.

TMZ reports the attraction as saying “our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted.

“Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures.”
Still, it turns out that Orlando doesn’t lay claim to the only questionable Bey sculpture. In fact, this seems to be a bit of a running theme.
