Is there anyone more polarising in Hollywood than M. Night Shyamalan? Ummmm… probably. STILL, the Sixth Sense director has released a shitload of mysterious thrillers in his lifetime, some well-loved, some widely panned, and some that will start extremely yelly dinner conversations (The Village is REALLY GOOD OK?? SHUT UP).
Aside from The Village (honestly I’m so fired up at the expected criticism of me for liking that film, I’m already planning a long op-ed about how you’re all wrong) Shyamalan’s most recent film Split was relatively critically acclaimed, with many claiming it was the director’s best film in a long time. The film (I won’t fuck with the ending for you) opened itself up for a sequel, which would bring in characters from Shyamalan’s previous film Unbreakable. We scored a teaser last week:

But today Entertainment Weekly has shared a bunch of stills, which give a little bit more of a hint as to what we can expect.
Here’s Sarah Paulson playing a psychiatrist who deals with people who think they’re comic book characters, according to Shyamalan.
Here’s James McAvoy back at it again as Crumb.
And Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Glass, in the spiffiest purple suit I’ve ever seen.
And finally, the three dudes (including Bruce Willis as David Dunn) having a good ol’ chat with Paulson in what looks like a really comfy and not at all depressing institution.
There’s more up on Entertainment Weekly, including some BTS stills from on set. Glass is slated for release on January 18, 2019 – although Shyamalan will be bringing the cast to CinemaCon in July, which no doubt will likely feature some form of trailer.
KEEN.
