This year has already been a doozy for reality TV drama – we had Keira and Jarrod managing to sustain a relationship after Bachelor In Paradise, for starters (and Tara/Sam ending their engagement, sob).
THEN Love Island Australia winners Tayla Damir and Grant Crapp split mere weeks after the show ending, with Tayla citing Grant’s lying as the cause – he told her he didn’t have a girlfriend going into the villa, but it turns out he, erm, DID. In fact, the girlfriend was managing his business while he was on the show trying to drum up some social media love, it seems.
Now Grant’s told his side of the story. He sat down with Kyle and Jackie O to give them the lowdown, saying he wasn’t expecting the news to hit media so quickly.

“We had had a conversation, but it was news to me that it (the announcement) was posted online … I kind of knew that (announcement) was going to happen, but I just never expected it to be on Instagram so quickly,” he said.
As per usual, he takes barely any responsibility.
“In every relationship you do have arguments, and we weren’t perfect, and we had a little argument that just blew out and it got to this situation unfortunately … It’s just broken my heart.”
He also said he had been trying to get in touch with Tayla, but then – WILD – Tayla herself called into the show to set shit straight.
“Even since this breakup happened, there’s still lies … Saying he’s trying to get in contact with me, I’m trying to contact him, it’s the other way around. He’s ignoring my messages. It’s just really sad that he has to continue to hurt me. I’d say I’m the heartbroken one, considering it’s me who’s been through the ringer. I’ve given him 10 days since we’ve been back to try and repair it, and it hasn’t been repaired, so I don’t know what else I can do.”
Obviously these are real people who are probably having a really emotional time, but god-DAMN in a sick way am I enjoying this public spat. JUST BEING HONEST.
