Fuck guys, the best drama from reality TV always comes after the show wraps up, doesn’t it? Take Sam and Tara from Bachelor In Paradise. Their break-up and then Sam hocking the ring for charity, complete with devo Instagram post? ICONIC. What about how Tracey Jewel from MAFS is currently/was/IDK bc I don’t care enough stranded in Germany bc her boyfriend left or something, and then Justin Fischer was maybe going to fly there and help her or something? WILD SHIT.

Also yes yes, these are real people. But let’s not forget they went on a reality TV show and continue to post their life updates via v. public Instagram accounts where they also flog teeth whiteners and diet shakes, OK? They live for this attention so I have no issue rolling around in it like a pig in mud.
ANYWAY. I digress. Today’s spicy reality TV news comes courtesy of NW Magazine. Grant Crapp – winner of Love Island Australia, is back with his ex Lucy Cartwright. They’ve even done a big photoshoot to celebrate the news, you guys!
This would normally not interest me or anyone else, except that while in the Love Island villa, it was revealed that Grant was very much involved with Lucy… even though he’d completely hooked up with Tayla Damir.

Tayla found out about all of this officially once the pair were out in the real world – saying that Grant revealed to her that he was in fact with Lucy when entering the villa, and only did the show to further his fashion brand – which Lucy was managing in his absence. Here’s her statement from a 9FIX interview.
“It came out that there were new accusations that Grant had a live-in girlfriend, and he’s gone on the show to promote his business and get famous. He denied it when we were in the house and I just had this gut feeling to follow through with it. Once I was able to access media and read the articles, I told Grant he needed to own up. I finally got the answer that was the truth: he was on there to promote himself and he did have a girlfriend who was running his business while he was inside the Villa.”
Grant and Lucy’s take in NW Magazine is v v v different, however.
“Me and Grant knew each other for a long time before Love Island,” explained Lucy. “We were really good friends and had a really close friendship. But it was never anything serious.”
Grant says he went in with an open heart, but rekindled with Lucy AFTER his breakup.
“Obviously I was going into the Villa with an open heart and looking for love. But then, I’ve come out, me and Tayla are finished and I’m back with Lucy. It does make you think about what you valued… the friendship [I had] before I went in there.”
He also stressed that he never lied to Tayla.
“I told Tayla the truth about a thousand times! She didn’t listen to anything I’d say, she’d just say, “You’re lying, you’re lying, you’re lying.” I don’t know… When I think about it, with Tayla, I’m not sure if she really had genuine feelings towards me towards the end…”
Look, considering the amount of times Grant swore black and blue to different women in that Love Island villa that he hadn’t said or done things he actually HAD SAID AND DONE, because we fucking saw it go down on TV, I can’t say I have much faith in this new take.
