‘Love Island’ Pair Luke & Cassie Split Again & I’m Starting To Think Dating Shows Are A Total Sham

Uh, call me crazy, but I’m starting to get the impression that dating reality shows may not actually be the way to go when looking for love.

Over the last week, two couples from this year’s crop of dating shows have called it quits.

First, The Bachelor star Matt Agnew took to Instagram “with a heavy heart” to announce that he and his winner Chelsie McLeod had split, now a Love Island pair have followed suit.

One of the twins from this season Luke Packham has officially ended his post-show fling with Cassie Lansdell.

They reportedly got together after leaving the Love Island villa, but confirmed to Daily Mail Australia this week that they’re back to being mates.

“We tried to see how things would work in the real world, but ultimately decided that we’re better off as friends without benefits,” he said.

“Cassie’s a great girl and instead of complicating things we think it’s better to just let it go now while we’re still good friends.”

“We really gave it our best shot inside the villa and out in the real world so there’s no regrets.”

When contacted by the publication, Cassie also confirmed that they were donezo, saying that she’s looking forward to moving on and finding love elsewhere.

Luke and Cassie were a fan fave couple in the Love Island villa, but later dumped each other on the show.

They quickly rekindled their relationship after leaving the show as they were spotted making out in a Sydney park shortly after returning to Australia, but have now confirmed that their relationship is strictly platonic.

Meanwhile, Love Island winners Josh Packham and Anna McEvoy are still going strong, so Amen for that, at least.
