LMFF’s FASHIonFILM Boasts Australian Premiere Of “Corinne Day Diary”

What can $20 buy you these days? Not a lot. It can’t even buy you four long necks anymore. But if you’re in Melbourne this Wednesday, $20 ($16 if you’re a student) will get you access to FASHIONFILM, a screening of over 20 short films from home and around the globe. Hosted as part of the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival, it will look at the diverse ways in which fashion has been explored through film.

Most excitingly, FASHIONFILM will premiere the 50-minute documentary ‘Corinne Day Diary’, made by the late photographer’s boyfriend, Mark Szaszy and featuring an adolescent Kate Moss in some super 8 footage. Other highlights include a ManiaMania clip by photographer Barnaby Roper featuring Abby Lee Kershaw, the simultaneous screening of two films by Dutch fashion photographer Erwin Olaf, a vision of LA by Beautiful Loser Aaron Rose, an interview with fashion blogger Diane Pernet and stylist Catherine Baba and works by Lucy McRae, Kris Moyes, Jacob Sutton, Susie Q & Leo Siboni, Fumiko Imano, Elle Muliarchyk and more.
