Back in September, Lizzo caused a stir when she tweeted at food delivery service Postmates and accused her driver of stealing her order.

“This girl Tiffany W stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more,” she wrote in an angry missive, in which she also included a photo.

She later deleted the Tweet and said sorry, writing:

“I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”

It seems that wasn’t enough, however, as earlier today, it was revealed that the driver in question is now suing Lizzo over the incident.

Per reports in Pitchfork, Tiffany Wells is seeking damages for “libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false light invasion of privacy.”

The lawsuit claims that Wells picked up the singer’s order from Luke’s Lobster in Boston, and attempted to bring it to her at the hotel where she was staying, but did not have her room number.

She also tried to call Lizzo, who had ordered the food under the pseudonym Bonnie V, but could not get hold of her. She eventually decided to abandon the order. The lawsuit claims that:

“Lizzo’s conduct was extreme and outrageous in that she used her celebrity to publicly defame, disparage, and threaten a private individual (i.e. [Tiffany Wells]), to roughly one million Twitter followers.”

Lizzo has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
