Lisa Vanderpump’s Beloved Dog Giggy Has Passed Away And I’m Beside Myself

Former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star and reality TV legend Lisa Vanderpump has taken to social media to reveal that her beloved dog Giggy has passed away.

She made a post on Instagram today to announce the sad news, sharing a series of photos of her cherished pooch, including one that showed him in one of his signature snazzy little suits.

She wrote:

“We are devastated to say that our beloved Giggy has passed away this morning. He was truly loved, and we know how many of you loved him too. Our sweet Gigolo was such an incredible, unique dog, but mainly, because of him, we started The Vanderpump Dog Foundation and embarked on our mission to save as many dogs as possible.”

Lisa Vanderpump and husband Ken established their foundation in 2016, and she said that Gigs played a big part in its inception:

“He inspired us to start our work in rescue, and for that we will always be grateful. Giggy’s legacy will live on, through every dog  Vanderpump Dogs saves. Thank you all for your support. Rest In Peace Giggy, we love you. – Ken & Lisa”

Giggy was a fixture on RHOBH for many years, and in one memorable moment, caused a stir when he sat at the dinner table and drank from one of Adrienne Maloof‘s expensive champagne glasses.

Lisa Vanderpump gave an update on her pup’s health to Bravo.TV last year, saying:

“Giggy actually had a real hiccup last February – and February through about August, where he was being monitored very closely. He spent a lot of [time] in the hospital, which was very difficult for us because he hated being left behind. But he was kind of in an incubator. He was on a heart monitor. We actually have a pacemaker waiting for him – a tiny, tiny little pacemaker, if he does need it.”

R.I.P. Giggy.
