OOH: Word On The Street Is Spicy Cop Drama Line Of Duty Is, Erm, Copping A Seventh Season

Line of Duty season 7 is officially happening, according to sneaky telly sources.

An insider told the Daily Star: “Another series is happening. This is the news millions of fans have been hoping for.”

They went on to add: “A lot of stuff still needs to be agreed and it is likely to take a while.

“Fans will probably have to wait a few years before it airs on TV.”

It is unknown which cast members would return for the next series or who will guest star.

The acclaimed sixth season of the cop series was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it ran for its longest episode count yet of seven episodes.

The series follows police department AC-12 as they go after corrupt police officers. The drama stars Martin Compston as DI Steve Arnott, Vicky McClure as DI Kate Fleming and Adrian Dunbar as Superintendent Ted Hastings.

Line of Duty is now streaming on Stan.
