Four years after his departure from Triple J, Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall is returning to the public broadcaster to handle the afternoon slot… for ABC Illawarra.
Revealing his new gig with a drone-happy and typically sardonic video, McDougall said he’ll be hosting the station’s brand new drive segment from January 22.
Plot twist, I’m back on your radio! (Well, some of you). I’m hosting a brand new radio show on @973ABCIllawarra from 3-6 weekdays. I start next Monday, January 22 and I can’t wait! As I think I mentioned, I love this place. pic.twitter.com/tb3rIjBmZB

Since his ten-year-long stint at the Js came to an end, McDougall helped clobber together a new Frenzal Rhomb record. You can absolutely expect tunes from Hi-Vis High Tea, including Classic Pervert and C*nt Act, to remain absent from McDougall’s new gig.
If you’re outside of the Illawarra region but absolutely need to hear McDougall on your drives home, you’re in luck: the station will begin streaming in February.
