Embattled actress Lindsay Lohan looks set to ditch her surname.
The starlet, whose performances offscreen are starting to overtake those she’s paid for, reportedly wants to be known only as ‘Lindsay’ from now on. That’s due to a combination of factors, says her mother, Dina Lohan, but mostly because she wants to drop all the ‘baggage’ associated with the Lohan title. That comes care of her super-creepy Dad, Michael Lohan, who continues to get involved with the family’s affairs despite being essentially excommunicated. Dina and the other Lohans are reportedly changing their surnames back to the mother’s maiden ‘Sullivan’ to distance themselves from Mad Mike, too.
Note that so far the only people to exist as mononyms without being torn apart are mega-stars who havem y’know, done something. Like Beyonce, Madonna or hell, Oprah. We’re pretty sure that a lead role in The Parent Trap doesn’t qualify you for that title. Even if you did play twins.
