A live-action The Little Mermaid flick is set to be released overseas on August 17 starring William Mosely only this adaption has no relation to the 1989 film but has more ties to the original Hans Christian Andersen novel of the same name.

Perhaps the incoming release of this film reawakened LiLo’s despo desire to portray the Disney princess.

But despite her many, many attempts to get their attention, Disney has yet to comment on Lohan’s wishes.
