Liam Payne Says The 1D Boys Are Speaking “A Lot” Ahead Of Their 10-Year Anniversary

You guys, let’s just take this one slow. Liam Payne has revealed that he’s been talking to his former One Direction bandmates. No, he did not explicitly speak of a reunion, but he did say they’ve been speaking “a lot” ahead of One Direction’s ten-year (!!!) anniversary.

In an interview with The Sun about his new single, Midnight with Alesso, Liam talked about how 1D’s ten-year anniversary is coming up “so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice.”

By all, I assume Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and possibly Zayn Malik who quit the band in 2015.

“To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”

This is fine. I wouldn’t scream “REUNION” into the void, but then Liam followed this up by saying, “At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say.”

Mate.

“There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around,” he continued. “But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”

HMM.

For the record, One Direction formed back in July of 2010. Considering the, well, coronavirus pandemic, I just don’t see a reunion tour in the cards right now. Maybe a documentary of some sort, since Liam said they’ve been looking at their “old content”. Who knows! And is Zayn going to be part of it? I have so many questions.

Meanwhile on Twitter, #OneDirection2020 is trending.

Christ, this is a throwback if I’ve ever seen one.

Honestly.

Harry’s Love On Tour doesn’t wrap up until the end of March 2021, so there’s that. And if his upcoming concerts are delayed, that’ll push back his tour even further. But MAYBE, he’ll bring the boys out during a show or something. I don’t know, I’m just spitballing here. Stay tuned, I guess.
