Liam Neeson’s New Movie Sounds Like The Most Liam Neeson Thing Conceivable

Folks, I’m starting to think that Liam Neeson might be a little bit typecast these days. The diversity of roles he used to enjoy seem to have melted away and are now replaced with an endless procession of movies where he punches, kicks and commando rolls through terrorists to save his missing children.
Well, his new flick seems to be much in the same mould. The Hollywood Reporter says that his new movie, the excellently titled Hard Powder, is about a snowplow driver who goes on a revenge rampage when his son is killed by a Colorado drug kingpin. Just fuckin’ cop this why don’t ya:
Hard Powder sees Neeson playing Nels, an upright snowplow driver in a glitzy Colorado ski town whose life is turned upside down when his son is murdered by the powerful local drug kingpin. He then seeks to dismantle the cartel, but his vengeful crusade sparks a turf war between a Viking gangster and a Native American mafia boss.

It’s gonna be helmed by Norwegian film director Hans Petter Moland and we would be lying if we said we weren’t completely thrilled by what seems to be the alternate title for Taken IV: Ice To See You.
